I found overall that the game is a tad bit mediocre and honestly not one of my favorite rogue-likes. I think this dilutes the really satisfying gameplay by not adding any interest to the gameplay loop. Everyone fires a massive circle of bullets or a long line of well-aimed bullets. The dodge roll’s existence incentivizes enemies to have massive bullet-hell attacks that can only be avoided by dodging, but it feels like too many enemies and bosses act like this for attack patterns to feel interesting. My problem with the game is that the enemies feel sort of boring in a way. There’s an immense variety of guns and power-ups. The aiming is difficult on console, but the game’s built-in aim assist makes it more manageable than Nuclear Throne on console.
